Sometimes, we just need a push to get ourselves in the right mindset to get back to work and get back to crushing our career goals! Here are 5 ways to increase your motivation on Monday’s!
Sleep Early On Sunday’s
Most of us probably take the opportunity to stay up late and sleep in on the weekends. Although we enjoy it, it can also throw off our whole sleep routine for the week. Make sure to get enough sleep on Sunday to be off to a great start on Monday. Aim for at least 8-9 hours of sleep.
Prepare Your Schedule Ahead
We also like to clear our mind on the weekends and forget about work for a couple days. Although it is important to rest our heads for a little bit, on Sunday we should prepare for the upcoming week. This will get us back to thinking about our goals and what we need to prepare for.
Identify Reasons Why You Are Unmotivated to Work
Do you feel unmotivated on other days of the week besides Monday? Think about what’s making you feel so unmotivated – is it a negative work environment? Are you experiencing burnout? If you can figure out the problem, you can start working on finding a solution.
Detox From Work During the Weekend
Make sure to get enough rest during the weekend! Turn off your work e-mails, and don’t take any work calls. Having personal time lets your mind take a rest, which in return will get you re-motivated on Monday!
Find the Right Attire for Work
Not feeling your work attire? Switch it up! This could be one of the reasons to why you’re feeling unmotivated. Maybe you’re sick of wearing the same thing everyday and want something new and different. Go shopping and find something new. If you have to wear the same thing everyday (such as scrubs), maybe try accessorizing yourself differently. This will boost your confidence and when you feel better about the way you look, you have a better attitude and mindset! 🙂
